Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo Castellero 2017
Giacomo Fenocchio's Barolo 'Castellero' is sourced from 30 year old Nebbiolo vines grown in the historic 'Cannubi' cru in the village of Barolo. The wine is matured for 6 months in stainless steel tanks followed by 30 months in large capacity Slavonian oak casks and then further refinement in the bottle before release. Classic intense garnet red in colour the nose offers floral and fruity notes with hints of liquorice. A wine of character with marked tannins. Velvety and harmonious with notes of sweet spice and jam.
