La Réserve d'Angludet 2016
La Réserve d'Angludet is the second wine of Château d'Angludet Margaux AOC. It comes from the same 34 hectares of vines that counts as Angludet's vineyard. There are no main differences in the way the vines are cultivated and the vinification methods between Angludet and Réserve d'Angludet. The distinction between the wine which will make the Château Angludet and La Réserve d'Angludet is only done after the harvest. A series of thorough tasting carried out by Ben Sichel determines the final distinction. Consequently, La Réserve d’Angludet offers the best quality for price in the entire Margaux appellation. Beautiful, intense red with garnet tints. An expressive nose with distinctive, profound black-berry aromas and spicy notes typical of the estate’s Petit Verdot. Combined with these are toasty, subtly oaky notes that gradually emerge on swirling. Creamy roundness is the predominating impression on the palate, with tannins and silky, delicate fruit that aptly reflect the quality of this terroir. The finish is long-lasting and intensely aromatic. A harmonious and elegant balance that reflects an exceptional vintage.
