LE DIX de Los Vascos 2018
LE DIX de Los Vascos was created in commemoration of 10 years of Domaines Baron Rothschild (Lafite)’s work in Chile. The first “grande cuvée” LE DIX originates from 70 year-old vines located in the terroir known as “El Fraile”. It is a wine of exceptional complexity, balance and elegance. LE DIX de Los Vascos is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (95%) and Syrah (5%), matured in oak barrels (60% new) for 18 months. The nose is complex, with aromas of black cherry, ripe strawberry and plum, underscored by a hint of oak, with delicate notes of cedar, graphite and dark chocolate. On the palate, this great vintage is revealed in all its splendour, with soft, firm tannins and, thanks to the cool nights at Los Vascos, some acidity to accompany this balance.
