Les Perrières de Lafleur 2018
Les Perrières de Lafleur was formerly released as the Acte # series; however, the 2018 Les Perrieres de Lafleur gets its own name as the team at Château Lafleur felt it finally met their expectations. Translating to the “stones of Lafleur,” the vineyard for this wine, which is mostly limestone, was planted from a massal selection sourced from the Lafleur vineyard in Pomerol starting in 2005 and 2006. Nine years of indispensable research and life-size experimentation were needed for Baptiste and Julie Guinaudeau to finally realise the vineyard of Les Perrières. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc this wine offers quality and precision of tannins, complexity combined with restrained power, and a very long and mineral finish - all of which make Les Perrières de Lafleur a true grand vin, and undoubtedly a close family member of Château Lafleur.
