Luigi Pira Langhe Nebbiolo 2019
Grapes for Luigi Pira's Langhe Nebbiolo are sourced from 1.5 hectares of Nebbiolo vines which were planted in 1999 in the commune of Serralunga d'Alba. After fermentation the wine is matured for over 12 months in a combination of small wooden barrels (barrique and tonneau barrels) and partly in large wooden barrels. Intense garnet red in colour the nose is young, complex, with fruity and spicy notes and a light hint of leather. The palate is young, round and mouth-filling, with sweet, gentle and persistent tannins.
