Michele Chiarlo Barolo Cannubi 2012
Cannubi is one of the most historical crus in Italy and is the apogee of Barolo. Michele Chiarlo's vineyard is located at the centre of the Cannubi Hill and in collaboration with the university of Changin, it is the first vineyard to be laid out into terraces here, in order to gain the optimal potential from the terroir. Aromatically intense, aristocratic and with superb persistence, the Cannubi Barolo shows notes of blackcurrants, liquorice, cinnamon, mint and tobacco. Elegant and seductive, with a great structure and a silky texture, this celebrated cru is noted for its extraordinary completeness and personality.
