Sevilen Nativus Narince 2020
The focus of the Sevilen Nativus range is to highlight the unique characteristics of Turkey’s most significant native grape varieties. Pronounced 'Nah-rin-djeh' Narince is the most widely-grown white grape in the Anatolia region. Here, the vines are twenty to twenty-five years old and are planted on clay soils at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level, where cooling sea breezes blow in from the Black Sea. The grapes were all harvested by hand before undergoing temperature controlled fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine underwent a period of ageing on its lees before bottling. Delicate floral and citrus notes on the nose lead onto a medium-bodied palate with flavours of white peaches and apricots. The ripe fruit is lifted by the bright acidity which shines through on the finish.
