Valdicava Rosso di Montalcino 2016
Valdicava's Rosso di Montalcino is much more than a basic Rosso style. The wine is made from the estate’s youngest vines, all of which are Brunello-designated. This is an elegant, taut, minerally wine with similar spicy, chalky, earthy notes on the nose as the Brunello and bright fruit and more spice on the palate. The Sangiovese grapes are selected from the Filai Lunghi, Lago, Cipressi and Nova vineyards. Valdicava adopt organic priniciples but are not certified.
