Wolf & Woman Chenin Blanc 2022
Grapes for the Wolf & Woman Chenin Blanc are sourced from old, dry-farmed bush vines grown on two separate Swartland sites. The first is a decomposed Granite vineyard in the Paardeberg, bringing a fine grained minerality and freshness, the second from iron rich red soils just outside of Malmesbury which adds weight, fruit and texture. In the cellar, Jolandie allows the wines to spontaneously ferment before ageing in old French oak and then blending and bottling. As a result of the natural winemaking process, a harmless sediment may occur. Beautiful clear cut flavours of white peach, stone fruits and subtle wild herbs carry this understated, subtly spiced Swartland Chenin Blanc. The taste is rich in fruit, it has wonderful texture and a fresh but balanced acidity.
