Las Flors de la Pèira 2019
Las Flors de la Pèira is the second wine of La Pèira and is a red blend of Syrah (30 year old vines), Mourvèdre (28-35 year old vines), Grenache (28 year old vines) alongside portions of Cinsault (42 year old vines) and Carignan (56 year old vines). The fruit is sourced from a vineyard called Belle Fiolle in Occitan (Bellefeuille in French) located in the Larzac AOC of the Languedoc Roussillon. Matured in 30% new oak Las Flors de la Pèira displays aromas of dark berries with blood orange, garrigue and lavender. The palate has an imposing presence of succulent, spicy raspberry and blackberry fruit, framed by firm, finely extracted tannins.
