Wine & Soul Manoella Douro Branco 2019
The Wine & Soul Manoella Branco is a white wine 'field-blend' sourced from a 50+ year old vineyard planted with Gouveio, Viosinho, Rabigato and Códega do Larinho on a north facing slope of granitic soil. All grapes are rigorously selected and de-stemmed before been pressed on a pneumatic press and fermented in stainless steel tanks after which the wine was aged 'sur-lie' for a further 6 months. The resulting wine displays fresh orchard fruit, laced with citrus, flowers and minerals. Driven and pure with real focus and a richness derived from the extended lees contact this is a lovely wine of great harmony and poise.
