Yotes Court 'Loose Rein' Pinot Gris 2021
Loose Rein 2021 is the first Pinot Gris released by Yotes Court from vines planted in 2019. This wine has struck the perfect balance between a rich Alsatian Pinot Gris and the lighter Pinot Grigio of Northern Italy to create a beautifully fresh, delicate and flavoursome wine. This dry white wine has aromas of anise, white lily, pear drops and nougat with a silky mouthfeel and zesty lime finish. The Yotes Court 'Loose Rein' Pinot Gris pairs well with dishes with a hint of sweetness, pumpkin soup, roasted sweet potato, seared sticky teryaki tuna and Middle Eastern flavours. 'Loose Rein' is a term used to describe a way of horse riding in which the jockey holds the reins loosely allowing the horse to relax. The name was chosen for this wine as winemaker Nick Lane was given complete freedom over the wine and allowed to decide on the direction.
