Teruzzi Isola Bianca Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2023
The Teruzzi estate covers 180 hectares of which 96 hectares are planted to vineyards and 60 are planted solely to the local white grape, Vernaccia di San Gimignano. The vines are grouped into four large areas - Casetta, Racciano, Montegonfoli and Ponte Rondolino - all in the municipality of San Gimignano, with an additional 16 hectares in Suvereto. These vineyards all benefit from a variety of soils, altitudes, gradients and microclimates influenced by their close proximity to the Tyrrhenian sea. The Teruzzi Isola Bianca Vernaccia di San Gimignano displays fruited and mineral notes typical of this variety. The taste is pleasant and complex, with an excellent balance between acidity, structure and length and in which alternating floral and citrus notes highlight the most authentic qualities of this variety. A note of almond gives this wine a characteristic finish.
