Mandrarossa Grillo 2024
Born on the unspoiled, sun-drenched coast of Menfi in southern Sicily, Mandrarossa represents the modern pinnacle of the island's winemaking. Their exceptional Grillo vines thrive in limestone-rich soils that slope gently down toward the sea. Here, the vineyards are constantly cooled by the prevailing Mediterranean breezes, a crucial maritime influence that allows the grapes to ripen fully under the intense Sicilian sun while retaining a brilliant, life-affirming acidity. In the glass the Mandrarossa Grillo pours a luminous straw yellow. The nose is a beautifully aromatic journey, offering vibrant notes of Sicilian lemon, crisp green apple, and the delicate fragrance of wild white flowers. On the palate, it is remarkably fresh, focused, and intense. A distinctive, savoury sea-salt minerality drives the finish, making it an incredibly versatile companion for the dining table. It pairs flawlessly with fresh seafood, grilled Mediterranean vegetables, or light pasta dishes.
