Mandrarossa Cartagho Nero d'Avola 2016
Grapes for the Mandrarossa Cartagho Nero d'Avola are sourced from vineyards located in Menfi on the south-western coast of Sicily. Matured for 12 months in barriques and a further four months in bottle before release, this is an approachable, balanced and robust Nero d'Avola, typical of good quality Sicilian wines with a unique character, soft approachable fruit and a mineral quality on the finish. Intense red in colour with purple reflections, the nose displays powerful aromas of blackberries and cherries. On the palate, there are intense flavours of black fruit with hints of dates and maritime pine.
