Hunter's Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2023
Established by the late Ernie Hunter in 1979, Hunter's was one of the first Marlborough wineries to gain international acclaim. Still 100% family owned and headed by Jane Hunter CNZM, OBE and nephews James and Edward Macdonald, the estate remains committed to bringing world-class wines to consumers across the globe. The 2022 vintage marks Hunter's 41st year producing Sauvignon Blanc. Whilst the wine style has evolved steadily over time, the family have endeavoured to stay true to their original quality focus. In the winery, cloudy juice was fermented using a combination of cultured and indigenous yeasts. Extended lees contact after fermentation provided texture and weight. This Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc shows ripe passionfruit, lime and grapefruit notes. The palate is rich and full with a dense fruit core. In keeping with the house-style, the wine finishes long and dry.
