Saint Clair 'Origin' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2024
The Saint Clair Origin range is the family estate’s core range, reflecting excellent quality and value for money. The word ‘Origin’ pays homage to the first vineyards ever planted by the Ibbotson family back in 1978 and fruit from the homestead vineyard is still used today for the Origin range. Fruit for the Saint Clair Origin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from a selection of vineyards located predominantly in the lower Wairau sub-region. This is what Saint Clair regards as Marlborough’s best sub-region for Sauvignon Blanc, producing wines with heightened expression. The wine displays intense tropical aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit and green apple with a hint of jalapeño pepper, which lead to a rich and weighty palate with flavours of white stone fruit, grapefruit pith and blackcurrant with a salty, mineral finish.
