Eradus Sticky Mickey Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2024
Named after Michael Eradus, 'Sticky Mickey' is a Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc produced in the Awatere Valley of Marlborough, a region known for being cooler, windier, and rockier, which gives the wines a distinctive crisp acidity, minerality, and elegance. The grapes are left on the vine longer than usual, which concentrates the sugars and flavours, leading to a luscious style of sweet wine. Barrel aged for 4 months, the Eradus Sticky Mickey Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc displays rich aromas of apricots, dried fruit and honey to the nose. The palate has a wonderful rounded mouthfeel and is filled with juicy passionfruit, fresh honey and citrus flavours, with a seam of limey acidity giving backbone to the rich fruit. The perfect accompaniment to crème brûlée, lemon meringue, creamy blue cheese and Christmas cake.
