Downpour Coast & Croft Gin
The Downpour Coast & Croft Gin from North Uist Distillery takes inspiration from wild sea botanicals and small Hebridean crofts. Pepper dulse seaweed is harvested from North Uist’s rocky shores at low tide and distilled into a concentrate before being blended with a distillate of specially selected botanicals, including hand-picked wild thyme. Each batch is named after the part of the island the seaweed is harvested from. The Downpour Coast & Croft Gin has fresh green herb tones which lead on the nose with a rich base of juniper. On the palate, citrus and that wonderfully moreish umami of pepper dulse create a finish that is long and elegant.
