The Escudo Rojo Origine is made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon vines belonging to Baron Philippe de Rothschild, grown in Chile's Maipo Valley, the historic birthplace of fine Chilean wines. Matured for 12 months in 25% new oak barrels and 75% one-year old barrels, Escudo Rojo Origine opens on very ripe black fruit, followed by an elegant tannic structure lifted by subtle cedarwood notes.
