Maturana Wines Naranjo Torontel 2022
The Maturana Wines Naranjo Torontel is a tangy orange wine carefully crafted and produced in tiny quantities. Native to the Maule Valley in Chile, the Torontel grape is the same variety as Torrontés Riojana, widely planted in Argentina. Naranjo is made from heritage vines of almost 80 years old grown in Loncomilla, a remote sub-region of the Maule Valley in Chile. After the delicate wine making process, the whole wine remained in contact with the pinkish skins of Torontel for 8 months, thus its orange hue. This is an aromatic orange wine with notes of honey, orange peel, white flowers and a potpourri of spices such as cardamom. Refined and lean, it shows a fresh palate, with concentrated and complex flavours.
