Alpha Estate Malagouzia Turtles Single Vineyard 2020
Alpha Estate's Malagouzia grapes (pronounced Mah-lah-gou-ZYA) come from a single vineyard site, known as "Turtles" because it is a nesting site for the local turtle population. The wine spends two months on its fine lees or "sur lie" imparting a creamy texture and added complexity to the final wine. A strong and lively nose of grapefruit, nectarine and hints of almond blossom. This richly textured wine is very flavoursome, has superb length, balance and plenty of finesse. Bright and long on the finish.
