Astrolabe Kekerengu Coast Sauvignon Blanc 2022
The Astrolabe Valleys Kekerengu Coast Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes grown at two vineyards in the Kekerengu Coast sub-region on Marlborough’s Southern Coast. The grapes are harvested at night or in the cool parts of the day to preserve the purity and intensity of flavours. Neutral wine yeast strains allow the powerful fruit flavours to dominate. A portion of hand-picked, high solids and wild barrel ferment wine was blended in to add subtle texture and complexity. Pale gold in colour this wine displays aromas of lime rind and pink grapefruit, ripe gooseberries, lemongrass and lemon balm. The palate is full bodied, round and concentrated with some green tropical fruit, peach and a crisp dry finish. This white wine will serve best with a year or more bottle age and will develop gracefully for many years. Perfect with Raw oysters, shellfish, lobster and crab.
