Bodegas Lanzaga 'LZ' Rioja 2021

Bodegas Lanzaga 'LZ' Rioja is made with Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha grapes from several estate plots (Campoluengo, Las Rozas, Castillejo, El Romeral, Agozaderas and El Plano) around the Lanciego village, in the Rioja Alavesa area. Here, the organic certified bush vines grow at altitudes ranging from 450 to 650 meters above sea level on two main soil types. On the flat sandstone plateaus the vines grow on shallow, low fertility stony, calcareous and silty textured soils which inhibit vigour and concentrate the flavours, adding mineral notes. The soils on the gentle slopes are moderately deep, with less stone, a higher marl content and very fine texture which prologues the ripening and adds freshness to the finished wine. At the winery the three grape varieties were co-fermented with indigenous yeasts in small concrete tanks where they remained for a further 6-7 months. The wine was fined and lightly filtered before bottling. Lanzaga 'LZ' Rioja is medium purple in colour and made in a fresh, fruit-driven style. The lack of time in oak preserves the brightness of fruit, with ripe red cherry, redcurrant and plum and a juicy and fleshy palate nicely defined by well managed tannins. The wine has a medium body, balanced by well-integrated acidity and a fine mineral touch.

Delivery Times

We aim to to have your delivery with you within 5-7 working days of receiving your order, but often it can be much sooner. If you need your order by a certain date please get in touch and we'll do our best to get it to you as required.

Vintage Availability

We endeavour to display accurate and current vintages on all our wines listed on the website; however, from time to time stocks of the vintage listed do become exhausted. If this is the case with your order we will always contact you to recommend another vintage of the same wine, if it is still available. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this.

Stock Availability

As we are retail stockists, selling from our Ledston shop as well as online, it makes it difficult for us to show a 'real-time' inventory of our wines and spirits online. As such, very occasionally, a wine may be out of stock that the website has allowed you to order.

To ensure a timely delivery, we are happy to substitute your order with a similar wine of equal or higher value and at no additional cost to you!

If this is not an acceptable solution please advise us in the 'Add A Comment' section at the checkout.
