Constantia Glen THREE 2018

Constantia Glen THREE is a classic Constantia red wine blend of the three most revered Bordeaux grape varieties - Merlot (52%), Cabernet Sauvignon (17%) and Cabernet Franc (31%). A cool maritime climate and strict crop control results in perfectly ripened grapes that are hand harvested, meticulously sorted and batch vinified. Matured for 17 months in French oak the wine was not fined, but only lightly filtered prior to bottling. This elegant vintage shows the round, velvety texture that has become synonymous to the Constantia Glen THREE, but also has good structure and power meaning that it can be enjoyed in its youth yet also has the capacity to age and develop admirably for another 10 years from the harvest under ideal cellaring conditions. The nose displays expressive dark fruit flavours of blueberry, black currant, and plums. Beyond these initial ripe fruit aromas, there is complex collection of savoury dried-herb and peppery notes and an underlying red raspberry perfume. The red and black fruit illustrated on the nose follow effortlessly onto a medium-bodied palate where elegant, velvety tannins grip the palate in a vibrant intensity of flavour. There is texture and richness as the wine once again demonstrates the peppery, savoury notes while the wine’s inherent freshness brings about a long, well-defined finish. This classic Constantia red wine is bold with powerful dark fruit flavours yet possesses old world charm with its delicate herbal fynbos notes and fine-grain tannins.

Delivery Times

We aim to to have your delivery with you within 5-7 working days of receiving your order, but often it can be much sooner. If you need your order by a certain date please get in touch and we'll do our best to get it to you as required.

Vintage Availability

We endeavour to display accurate and current vintages on all our wines listed on the website; however, from time to time stocks of the vintage listed do become exhausted. If this is the case with your order we will always contact you to recommend another vintage of the same wine, if it is still available. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this.

Stock Availability

As we are retail stockists, selling from our Ledston shop as well as online, it makes it difficult for us to show a 'real-time' inventory of our wines and spirits online. As such, very occasionally, a wine may be out of stock that the website has allowed you to order.

To ensure a timely delivery, we are happy to substitute your order with a similar wine of equal or higher value and at no additional cost to you!

If this is not an acceptable solution please advise us in the 'Add A Comment' section at the checkout.
