Esk Valley Gimblett Gravels Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec 2018
The Esk Valley Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec red is a quintessential Gimblett Gravels blend and Gordon Russell’s speciality. Utilising the softness and generosity of Merlot as a base, this classic Bordeaux inspired blend is a signature wine of the Esk Valley stable. Cabernet Sauvignon provides the backbone and the addition of Malbec adds spice and colour. This classic blend displays aromas of red fruits, cedar and dried herbs with flavours of plum and blackcurrant. The smooth finish on the palate is supported by supple, approachable tannins.
