Frog's Leap Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2020
Frog’s Leap has been producing utterly delicious wines since 1981. Founder John Williams is an old-school California winemaker who knows how important work in the vineyard is to their end-product. After nearly three decades of providing fantastic grapes, the Galleron vineyard in Rutherford - a major source of Sauvignon Blanc grapes - is showing signs of wear and tear, and is ready for a refresh. As the team at Frog's Leap replant and update Galleron, they've reached out to some of the growers who helped build the reputation of Frog’s Leap Sauvignon Blanc in the early days, and have started to source fruit from them again. As the work progresses at Galleron, you’ll note that the wine carries the Napa Valley appellation. The 2019 Frog’s Leap Sauvignon Blanc is a very pretty wine. From its delicate, bright stone fruit and flint aromas to its crisp mineral flavours, it delights all the senses.
