Mas Bécha Barrique Rouge Côtes du Roussillon Villages 2017
Mas Bécha's Barrique Rouge Côtes du Roussillon Villages is a red wine blend of Syrah (70%), Grenache (15%) and Mourvèdre (15%), sourced from organically farmed vineyards located in the Roussillon terroir of the ‘Aspres’, close to the Spanish border. The wine was made using a philosophy of minimal intervention and gentle pressing was followed by nine months’ ageing in Bordeaux barrels, which ranged from new to fourth passage of medium toasted oak. The Mas Bécha Barrique Rouge is complex, with ripe notes of blueberry and blackcurrant jam, highlighted by a touch vanilla and elegant oak spice. Generous and full on the palate, underpinned by a refreshing line of strawberry and ripe raspberry freshness. Soft sweet tannins explode with fruit that linger on the finish.
