Le Soula Trigone Blanc 2022

Le Soula Trigone Blanc 2022 is an intriguing white wine blend of Macabeu (31%), Grenache Blanc (28%) Marsanne et Roussanne (17%) Rolle (12%), Malvoisie du Roussillon (8%) and Sauvignon Blanc (4%). Located in the Fenouillèdes mountain range, at the foot of the grand Pyrenees, Le Soula is one of the most original wine estates in Roussillon and perhaps the whole of southern France. They produce still wine as if they were a champagne house, crafting wines that are almost always blends which change every year, sometimes dramatically, not only with the grapes used, but also with the percentage ratios of those varieties. Due to the fact that they keep large quantities of older vintages, they also regularly blend vintages with each other. One of the champions of biodynamics in the region, this intriguing blend is matured in a combination of oak vats and barrels for a period of six months before bottling. The result is a beautifully, well balanced wine that displays a lovely floral nose with white and yellow fruits on the palate, silky, textured and wonderful freshness.
