Morandé Adventure VIGNO Carignan 2018
The Morandé Adventure range of wines are handmade in extremely limited quantities from unconventional grape varieties such as Carignan, Cinsault and País and employ the latest winemaking innovations, such as concrete eggs and amphorae. VIGNO, with the "G" from Carignan is a collaborative project in Chile’s Maule Valley that rescues the tradition of the regions old dry-farmed Carignan vines. Morandé's VIGNO is an outstanding wine blended from Carignan and Syrah both from the same sixty year old vineyard. The Carignan dominates the wine's composition with its magnificent contribution of sweet and sour cherries, violets, intense tannins and refreshing acidity. The Syrah adds its black forest fruits, together with its subtle smoked aromas, spiced with vanilla and dark chocolate.
