Mulderbosch Faithful Hound 2015

The Mulderbosch Faithful Hound is a classic multiple red Bordeaux blend containing Cabernet Sauvignon (31%), Merlot (21%), Petit Verdot (9%), Cabernet Franc (32%) and Malbec (7%) grapes. Faithful Hound is deep, black cherry in colour with a complex nose of blackcurrant/cassis, blueberry jam and plum fruit alongside tobacco and cedar wood typical of a classical styled Cabernet-based blend. This is a full-bodied wine with mid palate richness, fresh fruits (as on the nose) amalgamated with boysenberry, damson, fruitcake, coffee bean and dried herbs (clove, anise) that finish with a powdery tannin and great length.
