Oltretorrente Timorasso Colli Tortonesi 2019
Timorasso is an ancient Piedmontese grape variety that was on the verge of extinction in the 1980s. It was carefully revived by Walter Massa of Vigneti Massa and now enjoys a resurgence in dry white wine displaying similarities to a really good, unoaked Chardonnay - richly textured with a buttery note and stone fruit on the palate. The Oltretorrente Timorasso is straw-yellow in colour and has a delicate and elegant bouquet. The palate is full and rich, but at the same time savoury and typically mineral. Crispness makes it lively, drinkable and very long.
