Gemma is made from Trentino's native Lagrein grape variety and is aged for 6 months on the lees prior to bottling. The wine is a tribute to the heroine, the Marchese Gemma de’ Gresti Guerrieri Gonzaga, who during World War I contributed to the repatriation of thousands of soldiers captured on the Russian front.
