Massaya Terrasses de Baalbeck 2018
Massaya's Terrasses de Baalbeck is a red wine meticulously crafted from grapes grown on the hillsides of Lebanon's Beqaa Valley in vineyards at altitudes of 900 to 1200 metres and overlooking Baalbeck and its Roman Temple of Bacchus. A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre the grapes are vinified at the Tanail winery, aged for 22 months in large oak foudres and then bottled without fining or filtration. Attractive ruby red in colour the nose offers up aromas of fresh scrubland with a hint of jujube. The wines finesse and elegance are clear as soon it touches the palate and it steadily gains in power over time, with tannins that reflect its cellaring potential.
