Doorly's X.O. Fine Old Barbados Rum
Doorly's Rum has been made on the Island of Barbados since 1908 and was remarkably the first rum brand ever to be exported from the island. The choice of a Macaw as their icon dates back to the founder, Martin Doorly, who originally chose the beautiful Scarlet Macaw to appear on the very first bottles of Doorly's Rum. True to his legacy the distillery continue to choose a Macaw for every expression of Doorly's Rum. The rare Hyacinth Macaw, also known as the Blue Macaw is chosen to adorn Doorly's X.O. Rum. To produce the unique character of Doorly's X.O. some of the oldest rums are carefully selected for a special second maturation. This second maturation is carried out with oak already seasoned in the ageing of fine Spanish Oloroso Sherry. The result is a delicate fusing of complex flavours giving rise to a rum of unparalleled excellence.
