Achaval Ferrer Cabernet Franc 2020
Fruit for the Achaval Ferrer Cabernet Franc is sourced from vines grown at 1100 metres above sea-level in the Tupungato wine region of Argentina. Here, the great sun exposure combined with the cool mountain breeze, allows the grapes to ripen harmoniously providing a full pallet of aromas and flavours: from black fruit to the freshness of tomato leaf and rosemary. Fermented in cement tanks the wine is matured in new French oak barrels for 13 months prior to bottling. Aromatic and expressive like a Chinon from the Loire Valley, but with the tannic structure and grip of good Saint Emilion from Bordeaux.
