Joel Gott Zinfandel 2017
Joel Gott sources fruit for this California Zinfandel from the Amador and Lodi appellations where small fruit clusters from decades-old vines give the wine its intense concentration. After fermentation, the wine was aged in 20% new American oak and 80% 2-year-old French oak. The Joel Gott Zinfandel has aromas of ripe blackberries, currant and clove. On the palate the wine opens with flavours of black cherries and vanilla, followed by velvety tannins on the mid-palate, then onto a long finish with hints of spice.
