Le Soula Rouge 2014
Le Soula Rouge Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes is the flagship red wine of the domaine and is a composition of biodynamically farmed Syrah (39%), Carignan (37%) and Grenache Noir (24%). The vineyards range in age from 22 years for the Syrah to nearly 70 years for the Carignan. The wine is vinified simply and aged for 22 months in a combination of wooden vats (40%), tank (40%) and in 500-litre demi muids (20%) before bottled unfined; consequently, the wine may throw a natural deposit. Le Soula rouge is a red of great complexity, finesse and elegance, with a smoky, mineral, flinty edge to the pure red fruits nose.
