Masi Brolo Campofiorin 2020
The Masi Brolo Campofiorin is an award winning red wine blend made in the same approachable style as the iconic Masi Campofiorin, using the original production method inspired by the technique employed for Amarone and then aged in small oak casks to accentuate its international style. This rich, velvety and elegant red wine is given extra complexity with the addition to the blend of the special Oseleta grape, rediscovered and replanted by Masi in the 1980s. Brolo (equivalent of the French term "Clos", a vineyard enclosed by a wall) Campofiorin is a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes sourced from specially selected parcels of vines. Deep ruby red in colour the wine offers berry fruit aromas, preserves and vanilla to the nose. The palate is rich, full-bodied, packed with baked fruit, and hints of cocoa and vanilla on the finish. This is a red wine with great versatility. Its great with pasta dressed in rich sauces (based on meat or mushrooms), good with risotto, grilled red meat, roasts and well aged cheeses.
