Poggio al Tesoro Il Seggio 2017
Poggio al Tesoro Il Seggio takes its name from the Seggio River which runs through the Bolgheri region. It is a red wine blend dominated by the Merlot grape alongside Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grape varieties, which are all carefully harvested and vinified to ensure density and concentration, but also to create a very fresh and easy-drinking style of wine. Matured for 15 months in French Allier oak this wine is intense ruby red in colour with aromas of fresh crunchy red berries and dark fruit nuances enriched with layers of tobacco and spice. The fruit follows onto the complex palate that combines elegant silky tannins and a lively clean finish.
