SCALLYWAG Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Inspired by a long line of Douglas Laing family Fox Terriers, SCALLYWAG Speyside Malt Scotch Whisky is a marriage of aged Speyside Single Malts, including - amongst others - malts distilled at Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes distilleries, matured predominantly in sweetly spiced Spanish Sherry butts and vanilla'd Bourbon hogsheads. The resulting whisky carries a richly spiced character on the nose woven into delicious vanilla from the Bourbon hogsheads selected. On the palate detect layer on layer of sweet stewed fruit, Christmas pudding and dark chocolate fused with spice (nutmeg & cinnamon) much of which can be attributed to years slumbering in those sherry butts. The finish displays a burst of zesty orange with sweet tobacco, cocoa and rich fruit cake. Award-winning SCALLYWAG is bottled and released in genuinely small, precious batches.
