Elephant Hill Estate Chardonnay 2017
The Elephant Hill Chardonnay is an award winning white wine made from handpicked fruit of outstanding quality and optimal flavour ripeness. The bunches were whole-bunch pressed to 228L Burgundian oak casks of which 25% were new. This is a wild yeast fermented Chardonnay which purposely did not go through malolactic fermentation and remained in barrel, on lees, for 11 months. Citrus blossom, pink grapefruit, nectarine and hazelnut aromas intermingle with flavours of green apple and hazelnut. The finish is pleasant, complex and persistent.
